STOCK AND ACTUAL VALUE
WHY THE STOCK IS NOT TAKING THE ACTUAL VALUE FROM THE VARIABLE
-
Hi Hussein,
Stocks' actual values can be derived from the actual values of variables. Assume you have a "Stock 1" and a "Variable 1" in a simulation model. You can go into the stock's inspector and set the actual values to "define using formula". This will enable an equation field where you can specify "Variable 1". The stocks actuals are now the actual values of "Variable 1". You can also specify more complex equations in this field.
Hope this helps.
Best, Martin

Thanks Martin
Your feedback is very clear however if I do that , I will have the actual value of the variable in the stock as a constant variable. In other words, the stock will not accumulate the actual value.

Hi Hussein,
Many thanks for clarifying. I understand now that you would like to have a flow with actual values, and the actual values of the flow accumulate as the stock's actual values, just as they do for the simulated values. You are correct that this is currently not supported but we can see that it is useful and we will consider improving this in our future product development.
Many thanks for your feedback,
Martin0
