FYI: Material delay and information delay
The newest version of Silico has exp_moving_avg function.
I believe users can use it as the first order material/information delay.
One tip is about "coefficient" argument in this function.
Other SD software uses "time constant" or "average delay time" in delay functions. However, Silico's exp_movving_avg needs the other "coefficient."
This "coefficient" is equal to 1/"time constant"/Resolution; the "Resolution" is the constant in the project setting and equal to 1/DT in other software.
I wish this information helps you.

Hi can you elaborate on what the resolution is please? Is it the number of time steps? I currently have my project set at 6 units per step (hours).

Hi Yutaka,
Many thanks for pointing this difference out. You're right; our function requires a coefficient that reflects the fraction to which the new value affects the smoothed value. This coefficient can indeed be understood as the inverse of the “delay time”/"smoothing time". We will update our documentation to explain this behaviour better.
Many thanks for your feedback,
